The fraction of deaf or hard-of-hearing people who are equipped with some
form of hearing assistance is surprisingly low. According to the Hearing
Loss Association of America (HLAA), only about 1 in 5 people who would
benefit from a hearing aid uses one, and on average people with hearing
loss wait 7 years before seeking treatment. Many providers of hearing loss
products and services need help measuring the size of their potential market.
HearingMarketResearch intends to provide that help.
